The message below was recently emailed out by the Kids' Cabaret Organization to all those who have participate in the program in the past years. If you did not get the email and would like to be added to our email list, please send us an email at [email protected] asking to be added.

Hello Kids' Cabaret Parents and Participants,

We are very excited to be back again this summer, with such a fun show in the works! This email will give a little more info about what we will be doing this summer, and important dates/sign ups. (This email is being sent out to all of those who have been involved with Kids' Cabaret in past years. Following auditions, we will only be sending out emails to those involved in this year's production.)

As most of you know, it is customary that we usually announce what our show is going to be during the first weeks of spring. Unfortunately, this year, due to the terms of our contract with Music Theater International, the Kids' Cabaret Organization will not be announcing our show until May 25th, 2017. (On this date, we will be announcing our show on our website, all of our social media platforms and through email. We are also planning on advertising the show, in the paper, in the weeks following). The Kids' Cabaret Staff is very excited for this year's show and we promise that it will be one that you and your children will love to participate in and it will allow you and your children to make long lasting friendships and memories that will last a life-time.

The audition dates this year are June 12th and 13th, from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, at Saint John's Episcopal Church, near downtown Hingham! Kids only have to audition on one of these days (Please see our website for more information on the audition process). By Wednesday of that week, we will send out an email that will announce if a child has received a callback, and if they have, the callbacks will be from 9 AM - 2 PM on Saturday the 17th, (location TBD).

A read through for leads will be on Monday the 19th from 6-9 PM (@ Saint John's Episcopal Church), and the first Chorus rehearsal and a mandatory parent info meeting will be on Wednesday the 21st of June from 6-9 at St. John's in Hingham as well (Chorus rehearsal will be 6-8 PM and specific children/roles will be called to stay the additional hour until 9PM)

Rehearsals will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, this year. Chorus rehearsals will take place every Wednesday night from 6-8 PM. Specific leads and/or ensembles will be called to the additional rehearsals and/or for additional time depending on what the directors have chosen to go over/ teach that week. A weekly email will be sent out on the weekend, before each week, with a detailed schedule of who is called when and what will be covered at rehearsal.

Our first week of rehearsals, the week of June 18th, will be held at Saint John's. Starting on the following Monday, June 26th, all rehearsals will be held at the Hingham High School Auditorium.

The show dates are July 27th, 28th, and 29th! We can't wait to get started.

Fees to participate in Kids' Cabaret's Show are $80 per child (you can pay this fee within the first month of participating) and then an additional $65 for any other sibling also participating. If this fee is too high for any family, email us and we will be able to discuss a fee waiver (we have a few scholarships available based on need). We, the Kids' Cabaret Organization and Staff, strive to offer the ability to participate in Kids' Cabaret to all youth, no matter what their economic or personal backgrounds may be.

Any families wishing to contact us, regarding this, can do so via our email address, [email protected]. All communications, between Kids' Cabaret and families, will be kept confidential and, by our policies, are not shared with anyone outside of the Kids' Cabaret Organization personal.

As usual, we need at least two parent chaperones at each rehearsal (not including auditions/callbacks), so please email us, or fill out the availability form under the chaperone page on our website, if you are available to chaperone any of our rehearsals. We will have a sign up sheet at auditions, as well, so you can sign up then too.
